About the role
CAIRL is building privacy-first identity verification infrastructure — the internet passport. We're looking for detail-oriented QA contractors to evaluate our platform, find bugs, and verify user flows across devices.
As a QA Beta Contractor, you'll use our platform as a real user — verifying documents, testing edge cases, and submitting structured evaluation reports. This is paid work, not volunteer testing. You choose your own scripts and work at your own pace.
This role requires creating a real CAIRL account and completing identity verification (KYC). Every contractor goes through the same process our users do — that's part of the quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Execute evaluation scripts that test CAIRL product flows end-to-end
- Submit evidence (screenshots, recordings) for each evaluation step
- Report bugs with clear reproduction steps and severity ratings
- Test across multiple devices and browsers as assigned
- Maintain a high accuracy score on submitted evaluations
Requirements
- Access to a smartphone and a computer with a modern browser
- Reliable internet connection
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions precisely
- Willingness to complete identity verification (KYC) during onboarding
- US-based (W-9 and 1099 compliance required for payouts)
Nice to have
- Experience with QA testing or software testing
- Access to multiple devices (iOS, Android, tablets)
- Experience with bug reporting tools
- Familiarity with identity verification products
